In Solidarity with Kashmir

A short graphic novel made in solidarity with Kashmir (made in 2016). It focuses on highlighting and bringing awareness to the resistance efforts of Parveena Ahanger and MC Kash (Roushan Illahi), who are Kashmiri individuals fighting for their rights and the rights of their loved ones. Given my positionality, I only hope this can encourage further reading. I urge you to read from resources created by Kashmiri individuals. I’d like to clarify that me calling the occupation of Kashmir as the “conflict” in Kashmir in my artist statement back in 2016 was inaccurate and harmful. Living and learning!
